If they see that the PC's are running slower then normal (if you use High or Extreme mode in mining) then they will check it out and probarly find it.

Yea... This is true , since all the traffic from ALL the computers go to you or your VPN. You will most likely get caught if they do a traffic check -up

This isnt a very good idea , you could get into a lot of trouble , you should just get normal installs andrun miners on them.

I hope your not some support tech trying to do this. if this was one of my networks and you were trying basically root my network for your own personal gain I'd be pissed. I'm sure whatever admin / controller / owner would feel the same way brother..

1 post, the best thread design I have seen and he asks to hack the school...

Seems legit!

root their network. Get out of this section please

Did you ever see a client server network where the computers have admin access?

Yea unless their ITers are really fucking stupid..

So your saying they setup a P2P connection for 150 computers lol.

And it's easily possibly to have a network with all computers having admin perms lel

If you do it right it won't be traced back to you at all, even if they find the miner they still won't know who put it.

Use a different mining username/pass than your email or a username they know

I have a private silent miner i made doubt i'll share it unless the PC's are worth it, but feel free to contact me about this.

It would be much easier for me if they were using a UNIX system but i don't mind windows anyway.

Seems like it.

Ofcourse its possible but giving all the computers admin perms on a client-server network especially in a university is not the smartest thing to do.

Why doesn't OP answer our question lol? OP is it P2P or Client-server

Dude steeling those computers and putting them in your basement is much safer.
By the way I was here for curiousity and this...
C'mon I am not in this things but this guy is soo...
How can you risk this much?

If you want some dingiez with this intsall one of those toolbars that pay on every PC.

Thanks for your constructive feedback.

To clean things up: I am not in a technical position at my work, nor a student. Also, the IT department is pretty weak, as I mentioned before. It's a shame that any user / student could easily install their own software on both lector and student PCs with admin privileges.

However, I will rethink this idea. Especially the suspicious network traffic increase is a very valid argument against this idea.

Someone over here mentioned renting a botnet / buy some installs. However, I have a few (very noobish) questions about this. Do I buy the install on this machine only for myself or am I sharing the computing power with other people? And how much uptime is guaranteed per machine?

Thanks to you all!

Honesty, i'm not trying to put you down or anything, but this is fucking more retarded then those kids at lunch sitting at the special ed table. DUDE. All the IT has to do is go into CMD and type in netstat and hit enter; if they see even the slightest change in the CPU usage they will trace your ip down. And don't pull that BS that "Oh I have a vpn I payed $10 for, or I found a cracked VPN." If they wanted to get you, they will get you. I remember when I was like you thinking I was the main character and nothing bad would happen to me, but this is the real life bro not some fucking anime. So just please stay away from this, all you have in life is your Identity and your Family don't fuck it up.

For anyone who can't be bothered reading OP's wall of text.
Heres is what hes saying...

I know nothing about hacking. But want to hack all the machines in the university. What do?

* - Mine4 - May 27, 2014

Wow, it sounds like my idea was really bad..

* - asspecter7 - May 28, 2014

have you guys ever read "The IT" pasta ? shits hilarious.

* - King dox - May 28, 2014

Don't take the risk lol, the traffic will be noticeable as school computers and university ones can't really maintain a lot.
