It wasn't that bad, of course the only thing good about Angel Beats was the ending. The show just had way too many plot holes, it was a good anime wasn't GREAT though.

Angel Beats is as hyped up by the anime community as Sword Art Online. Both of which aren't as bad as all the haters make them out to be, but they aren't jaw droppingly unique and amazing either.

He also pointed out that some of the background characters didnt have faces and this is just laziness i find that if their face it blanked out i.e. no face it means they arent important. Simple, i thought that how they all worked.

They all die, and got reincarnated we get it. No need to keep fighting over it. So he was floating in purgatory space until Kanade got there, ok makes sense.

Lets be honest, About 50% of us were told "Watch angel beats its really good" by our friends and they were probably told the same by their friends, And so you watch it and even if you don't like it you feel that you should because all of your friends like it and talk about it like its a work of art.
Most popular animes are over rated and only so because of social situations and people feeling that they have to enjoy an anime that all their friends like.
I'm gonna be honest, I won't watch an anime if someone tells me to, I prefer finding an anime myself because it follows my strict rules of genre and to be frank I agree 100% with this rant by the link in the OP.
Think about this, he mentioned K-ON which is a prime example, K-ON is so incredibly over rated it hurts.
Its a VERY slow and monotonousness anime where the story follows the same thing over and over again, But why is it so popular? because of what I mentioned above, I notice that about 80% of popular anime is shit and you have to skim the top of that ocean of shit to collect the cream.

80% is kinda high but I agree on some points, a lot of the high rated anime are pretty overrated due to the hype of it.
Example School Days, I love boats and I will destroy anyone who say they don't like boats. 👍

Even for the budget cuts the anime was still awesome. It had great characters great plot voice actors. The expirence could be only feeled when watching the anime not explained. I'm sure when watching you went throguh alot of emotions.

Yeah I agree. I wasn't told by any of my friends that it is great its just the first I picked. And so far it is by far my favourite.
