Ex. String firstName

So your first letter of the first word would be minimized, and the beginning letter of each new word should be in capital. This is just for cleaner code and it's easier to read.

This only applies for certain languages... in C#, some vairables should begin with a capital letter, eg. your field variables (MyLoopCounter (C#) vs. myLoopCounter (Java)).

In other languages you should add underscores and use all lower case. The C equivalent to the above would be my_loop_counter, or perhaps even more precise (those dudes tend to shorten like a bi***): my_loop_cnt

I have decided to change paths from web development to Java.
Its really damn fun, just so different.

Anyone have any tips or tricks for beginners or have a nice clean beginner java
learning site? Thanks.

Hey I’m pretty well versed in android app development with java and other types of code, I’m not sure but there is probably someone who would be down to help.

https://cscircles.cemc.uwaterloo.ca/java_visualize/

Is nice if you need to understand bits of code better as you can visualize what the code is doing.

Start from C++ and then migrate to Java because their syntax are same but Java is difficult for beginners so start from C/C++ then Java

Tip no. 1: it's Java, not JAVA. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but capitalizing the name makes you look like you don't know the language at all.

I would HIGHLY recommend " Java All In One For Dummies". Its worth the price really. I use that book to ace one of my Uni Units and it really helps.
