It would be nice to see if someone would buy a group for 1 Mill OMC. (Around $400, right? Maybe sell for 2 Mill OMC then)

That would be about half of all OMC in existence. That probably isn't even possible to acquire.

If I wanted money I would sell a group for BTC. What I want is value for the community in the form of a higher value to OMC. I need to create more usage and demand.

At current rates 1m OMC is only worth about $400 or about 1 BTC. That's incredibly low for a group. However to obtain 1 million OMC someone is going to have to get extremely active and start buying up all the OMC possible. However groups here are easily worth 6-10k so it would be worth it for someone to offer even 10 times the current OMC value in order to get a group.
There is about 6 million OMC mined. No one, besides me, has a wallet large enough to own a group without actively buying OMC on HF or exchanges.
Another idea is that I can sell a group to the highest bidder with the price starting at 1m OMC. Would be extremely interesting to see that as well.

Partially true. It's however a good thing to take some BTC out of the market. It's too easily mined and it's partially devalued because of that. Partly.

Exactly. No one has the ability now to pay 1 million OMC. They'd have to hit the exchanges hard core and buy up every sale. Then hit HF and begin offering high prices. Gonna be even worse if 3-4 individuals try to do it and compete to gain OMC.

I think this is a "good" idea, because alot of members will start to try to reach the 1million OMC mark, therefore, with everyone trying to get the new HF group, activity would increase amongst OMC... AN ALL OUT BATTLE!
This 1million idea is like someone walking on a razor thin wire from one side of the cliff to the other for the bag of money, the reward is there, but unsure how everything will play out in the end, there might be some HF murders on this site regarding OMC consumption. We'll see.

Is there a way to effectively add more OMC to the block while not raping the value? I don't know if it's even possible to just make more OMC minable. I think it's a good idea though, we could even offer all groups to be bought with OMC.

I think this is a very good idea. It'll make OMC much more valuable and used more because it's such a good thing to be used on this forum but I don't think it's being used enough. Using it to buy this group would be a very good idea but I still think there should be other things that require OMC. (I wont go off topic now.)

I agree that more has to come but an immediate rise in value would be a nice spark into that. So let's say I line up 2-3 features on HF and just before I implement them I do this auction first. Then as the auction begins I announce the new features implemented for OMC and enact them. Would be a grand plan that imho could work to spark value and usage to the community almost immediately.
