Look into Penetration Testing with Kali Linux, Penetration testing & Ethical Hacking by Cybrary and even attend conventions/events. It really does help to hear the professionals such as kevin mitnick talk and attending live seminars and learning on the spot, it's great.
If you're in the area, just assuming you might be. Kali are actually at an event soon, Kali Linux Dojo at Black Hat Vegas 2016 if not, just interesting stuff to take a look at anyway! 👍
