I like the idea, clean and can see what thread you're going to before clicking it.

Thanks, but as I said to Yani on the previous page, I am not interested in userscripts. Making this suggestion towards HackForums.

What are you talking about?
That's like asking if there's someone in your state with the same first and last name, how can they determine which is you...

The record is based on the TID (aka drivers license number). It's like literally any other hashtable. The values can repeat; the keys need to be unique.

There are some good arguments against implementing OP's suggestion, but this isn't one of them.

Omni has argued against it a lot in the past, maybe now that we're on the new server he might change his mind.

I think that this is additional ONE query while posting/editing text
SELECT threadname FROM threads WHERE threadid=<parsedid>

I think its a good idea. I would assume Omni would be okay with it unless it requires a shit ton of work and puts more load on the server.

Misread. Thought it was for the URL, not within the actual body itself. Whoops.

BAD SEO is the reason Omniscient does not, and will not implement this.

I am sorry? What does "Search Engine Optimization" have to do with this? Tried Googling and understanding SEO, really can't find a connection between it and this suggestion.

Same.

Yeah or it could be added like #5486507 and it will replace the # with the thread name.

Supporting this suggestion.

Prefer not to do this.
