.06? What printer do you have? What slicing software did you use? And for the bottom half I think supports would have helped alot s3d has easy to remove supports if you want to try it out some people swear by it

Thinking of buying an ft-5 for my next printer

Edit:Saw ur service thread it's misleading I was the first 3d printing service on hf ._.

What else have you printed? Looking forward to seeing the final outcome of this.

Have you 3D printed other things in the past or is this the first?
Many things including Batman's cowl, Pickle Rick, Pokeballs, household items etc. Check out my sales thread in my signature.

Fuck off man

(Sep 26, 2017 11:53 PM)ComputerScience Wrote:  How does it keeps failing? Aren't they made to be precise?
There are many factors. Mine failed because the gcode was corrupted, room temperature wasn't right, poor bed adhesion etc.

My friend has a 3D printer and he did it just for the hell of it and it worked lol.

But on-topic; That's really dope man. Did you make the 3D image itself or did you find a project online for it? Cause I know they have like websites with a collection of files that you can print with a 3D printer.
I found the file on one of those sites.

shouldnt 3D printing be faster for just a mask
Yes it includes failures. And no it shouldn't be faster. Like I mentioned above, this mask has inch thick walls and is printed at an ultra high resolution. Which means that each layer is just over a twentieth of a millimeter tall.

I used Cura. You are right, I should've used supports for the bottom half. Lesson learned for next time. S3D is on my list. I'll get around to buying it eventually.

what printer are you using?

* - UJohane - Sep 29, 2017

It's looking nice! Make another one for me and let's go for bank robbery. 😏

* - supertaser - Sep 29, 2017

That's a lot of effort, but man it's beautiful to know you've put so much into something. you should be proud.

* - Molino. - Sep 29, 2017

Pretty nice. Want printer do you own btw?

* - Dezigner - Sep 29, 2017

Looks pretty nice, but I think it looks better without the paint.

Maybe a different type of material (regarding the paint) would've worked better.

I really don't want to wear it in public much. I'll end up wearing it on Halloween but that's about it. I'll build a display case for it and keep it in my living room or sell it on Etsy or something.

Interesting opinion. Although I haven't finished painting it yet, in fact I'm not even close.

Today's painting progress:

Started adding details to the skin and gums. Saving the teeth for the end.

For those wondering what printer I own, it's a Frankenstein printer built for me by a friend. It has a HUGE build volume and I paid an arm and a leg for it.
