This is true, the people back then had to scavenge for food and shelter while trying to just survive.

I know for sure I wouldn't survive at all. That would be the only situation where I honestly would choose to end my own life, it wouldn't be worth it for me to try and continue.

It would be really cool to live in a post-apocalyptic world. It would have its downsides but I do fantasize about it all the time.
