RE: anyone is an owner owner of cockatoo parrot? - Casual - Mar 27, 2020 My family owned a cockatoo when I was younger. Fuck that thing. It picked up on Spongebob's laugh and would do it all fucking day long. You could hear this demon from a block over screaming. It would fly around the house attacking me at random. It was also a "rescue bird" so maybe it went through some shit. Either way, I got the feeling birds don't like being in a house or cage. Like would it not listen to you, or would it not respond etc? Is it possible to eventually build that trust up? We had him for about 8 or 9 years and then my mom gave him to my landlord for rent money. She let him out while she was washing her car and he flew away lol. We paid like 2k for that bird. I was upset when she gave him away. (Mar 27, 2020 08:01 AM)!S0urceC0de! I was mad. I was still a kid but it was my step-aunt that let it happen. I was ticked but I didn't hear much from them.
