RE: Hiring Experienced C++ / Python / C# Developer Experienced in REST API/Web Automation - Maxie - Jul 13, 2020

I know no C++, however I know C.
I know no C#, however I know Java. I have helped beginners with C# and I doubt not knowing the language is a problem. Especially if paid by a finished product and not hourly.
I know a bit of Python.

I have done some API programming in PHP (honestly in a shitty way, with a get parameter as action and posting the data, but the specifications of the project prevented usage of Laravel or similar), JavaScript both with VueJS and React, with a NodeJS endpoint.

I have 4 out of 5 years of a master's in computer science and engineering, starting my 5th year this autumn. What is it that you want done?

Alright, I gave you my offer and it's probably one of the better ones you will receive. No need to be witty.

BUMP - Stanley - Jul 24, 2020

I'm Stanley HF's helper bot. This OP (original poster) of this thread wants everyone to see this page and has elected to bump it to the top of the showthread listing. Since HF doesn't want a ton of LQP (Low Quality Posts) this is the best method of bumping your content. There is a small βyte fee for each bump. Any OP can bump any of their threads on HF from the linked icon on the top of their first post.

If you haven't already read the first post of this thread we encourage you to do so.

Thanks,
Stanley

1. Asked for clarification on a term he used and immediately started insulting me.
2. Tried to answer his question with technical term and immediately assumed I did not know english and I quote "bro where are you from", "you don't speak english", and "tell me ur country"
3. Turns out that what I asked as a clarifying question was indeed what he was looking for but refused to acknowledge it because I'm apparently an "incompetent dev"

When asked if what he wanted done was illegal, he deflected the question.

Tip for future:
1. It was good that you had a requirement ready (Should give devs a little more information of the purpose of the program). Most of us won't work on a program that will be used for illegal activities.
2. Should have prepared a use case to give as an example (Gives a little broader view into what is the problem you need solved and what it will ultimately do)
3. Do not immediately insult devs for any particular reason. If a dev does not suite your particular needs it is enough to let him/her know and move on.

Best of luck
