I used to play CSGO and there were kids in every lobby who used to swear thinking they were all high and mighty sitting behind their computer screens. Like guys cut me some slack, its my first game.

Yeah, some people are so toxic, I don’t like it. I do remember being one of those toxic kids back in the day though. But that toxicity was effecting me off the game too. Now when I play games, I try to remain as calm as possible and I find it actually helps me play better. There’s just no sense in getting that mad over a video game.

Sorry for your sour experience. If you're on console it can be more a process to mute everyone, PC it's easier (depends on the game as well). But it is possible to do.
Sounds like call of duty or something alike? Maybe try picking up calmer games like MMOs or RPGs.
I personally play a lot of CS:GO. There are plenty of toxic players in that game, but it's easy to mute them and if you ever play with them again it keeps them muted unless you unmute them. Generally don't like to mute everyone, but you can very easily do that with "voice_enable 0" or "voice_scale 0" in the console.
There are many easy ways to make your gaming experience about you and less about what others have to say to ruin it.
Sorry your first game back was a surprise to you. Hopefully you can figure something out that will work for you.

If you want to try it again, just turn on console and type in "voice_enable 0" until your comfortable your play style wont attract to many insults (it will always attract some, just the way of all video games). ("voice_enable 1" to turn voices back on)

People need to understand that a game is just a game and they shouldnt get so hyper over it. I hate these shouting matches too so stay off such games.

It could just be me, but I think that's part of the fun. I love it when people talk a bunch of shit in the pregame lobby and by the end of the game have either left the match or muted their mics. It's the best.
