Here's what happened in reality...

Shopify: You set up a half-arsed store with a product you know nothing about and probably paid $5 in Facebook Ads thinking you'll get $30 in sales off 50 clicks without even knowing what A/B testing even means.

Amazon Dropshipping: Most likely you bought a stock of useless product that has provides no solution to people's problems, shipped to Amazon, sold nothing and Amazon shipped these items back to you.

Becoming an Instagram celebrity: Probably gave up at 5k fake followers mark.

Stock Daytrading: Bought 10 penny stocks, lost considerable portion of your positions the next hour, sold everything at loss the hour after.

Real Estate Investing: Nope, real estate "investing" is not calling people asking to list their properties on Airbnb mate. Investing in real estate can mean a lot of things but mostly you buy a property, you renovate it and sell it at a profit. If you buy a £100,000 property in a shite area, invest £20,000 to renovate and sell it back at £80,000, you've made a loss of £40,000.

As @sonex said, choose one and stick with it, learn as much as you can about it and don't spend money until you make money (either via the business you set-up or from a 9-5 job).

To be more useful when giving advice or support, I'd like to know a few things about you.
Please quote me here or PM me the following information.
  • What are your hobbies, regardless of it being weird as sucking toes up to 'old' things collecting ancient coins
  • What is the main goal you have in mind, when thinking about how to "make money online in 2020"
  • What is your experience in money making
  • What are 1-3 skills that you have, regardless of them being useful to make money online
  • How old are you (I hope 18+, but this does matter)
  • What is your budget? Like $0, $50-$100, $100-$500 or $500+

If you can answer those, I can give you some solid and adjusted advice.
I do charge usually, but I can give you 'some advice' for free.

Save up some money to start with.
I charge for my financial advice and the majority of the white-hat methods require or recommend to have some budget at least.

I am agree with you ,yes its saturated but that dont means you cannot make money .Try to adventure in new things that are more harder and more complicated as there its not so much competition .For example me i made good money with youtube and affiliate marketing but nowadays its way to competitive

If you see a lot of people do something that means there is a huge market for it, for example Shopify stores. There is probably close to 100k stores created, does that mean nobody is making money because it is “saturated”? No, which leads us to second question...

Did you fail? If you failed that means you dont have required knowledge to break through and put yourself up on top. There are many ways to obtain knowledge on the internet, I dont feel like you’ve tried hard enough.

You didnt specify which “methods” you’re referring to but regardless, be it Shopify, CPA, Affiliate Marketing, you name it ... It all comes down to you as individual. Just remember one thing, there is no such thing as saturation, saturation proves you there is huge demand, it’s up to you to make it happen.

You have a really great way of thinking; I respect that.
