Bought over a billion dogecoin and have hodl but then lost the wallet key and recovery seed

Not really crypto related but I once sold my instagram page for $750BTC which was going viral as fuck. If I only knew back then how much money I could've made today with that page....

On the other side: I recently recovered an old wallet with 500$ worth of bitcoins.

Sold 11 BTC for around $1,100 dollars back in the day, imagine if I never sold... kinda hurts still but it’s life, let’s not make the same mistake twice

Bought/sold and earned a ton but sadly sold most of it over the years. The number is probably inflated due to transfers to/from exchanges but I estimate it to be atleast 1/2 of that.

To make matters worse I had quite a bit of loss in altcoins back in 2017-18.

Now I am left with a tiny fraction of that original amount. Lesson learned though, I am not selling anymore.

Edit: To the feds out there, that's not the balance in my wallet. That's the total received BTC in my wallet and most of that was when BTC was < $1k. I have nowhere near that amount now.

Selling 1 BTC at $11k, 2 days later it goes up $13-14k and now we're at nearly $40k.

Selling 0.6 BTC at $17k, only to go back up to $19k a day later and again now we're at nearly $40k.

:(

Not really balling lol. Like I said I am left with a very small amount now. Not life changing amount by any means, but could be if BTC reaches moon.

Bought BTC for £4k GBP with a buy order I had set up when it dipped in March 2020. Sold at £5.5k because at the time I thought COVID would have more detrimental short term impacts, which in hindsight was stupid as if I had thought smarter about what normally happens during a crisis, i.e. QE > Stonks, commodities, crypto booms, I wouldn't have fell into the fear.

Won't make that mistake again.

Bitcoin is sitting at £29k today.

I sold my 3 char insta to some oil guy in Saudi Arabia for 1 BTC in 2016

At age 21 to get $600+ felt amazing so I cashed out straight away

Well as you now know nearly $40k

If you ever feel bad about selling at $600 just remember somewhere some oil guy paid $40k for an instagram handle. It better be a damn good handle

I had exactly 13 bitcoins when it was 9$ that's 117$ and at the age of 16, 117$ investment is like 50,000$ now... I sold the 13 bitcoins when they were 120$ each and made roughly 1,550-1600$ which is around 1400$ clean profit. Today? 513,500$ @ price of 39,500$... FML!!!

One more thing I did was buy this morning Stellar for 5000$ @ 0.355 and now just only 20 hours later it is down to 0.290 and I am short almost 1000-1200$.

Both times, FML!

Mine wasn't too extreme. I E-whored my way to $7k and held it in my wallet until a few months ago. BTC wasn't looking like it was going anywhere since it was lingering around 9-10k for a while so I figured I'd take my profits and run at 10k. Few months later it's at $40k. I'm absolutely kicking myself right now.
