inb4 100 * "GUYS CHECK OUT MY RAT"

prepare for it xSilent. Also, I was wondering why is your buffer 0 for the message size when you are reading of the stream? Wouldn't that mean it wouldn't read anything? :s

I always have had it set to an integer on my client class :s

U need to use delegates and invokes.

add this:
Code
Private Delegate Sub del()
public sub dostuff()
'do your cross forms stuff here
end sub

then where you are recieving the command add:
Code
Me.Invoke(New del(addressof dostuff))

should work :)

i'll try this, thank's pyro.

Edit : It's work, delegate solve the problem thank's again ;)

I have tried many TCP Connections and none of them have workedd :S

idk know why...
i think it was a year ago then i tried telnet it took days of testing testing and searching on the webb to get it running smoothly allways got that the connection never establised.

And now im stuck again :(

I have tried:

used 2 computer(1 with the client running, 1 with the server running on) ofcourse on the same network (127.0.0.1)
make my IP static
open port 7008 (the one i used in the client/server)

ofcourse all at the same time

And last im on win7 on all the computers (3 computers)

127.0.0.1 is the local address for a computer, not for a network. If you testing like that use your internal address eg 192.168.1.102

Nice tutorial man I was able to understand few things about reverse connection but I won't start coding a rat right now cuz there are still more things for me to know, after all I started coding just 6 or 7 months ago so yeah it's too early to code a rat

btw, in part5 for the file download it doesn't have to be always an "exe" if the user wanted to download a batch file it won't work, so I suggest to retrieve the file name from the url like this:
Code
temp = cut(1).Substring(cut(1).LastIndexOf("/") + 1)
it will return "file.ext" and you'll be able to download anything! you got it right.

anyway thanks for the contribution buddy, and I hope the other members would appreciate it 👍
