No, I believe the reason why he became a ghoul is because Kanou also added some of the RC cells generator from Rize or something like that, it wasn't just the regular organs.

By choosing ghoul are we automatically sss rank if not y'all would either join a organization or end up dead .-. There would be a higher chance to stay alive if you choose ccg. Though I'd choose half human half ghoul and stay in human society.
