I think this is a good decision. HF 3p1c was a group created some time ago and was purchasable with the now defunct OMC (Omnicoin) crypto. But seeing how similar the group is to r00t, HF 3p1c was a bit confusing to new member that wanted to upgrade.
But for those that want the userbar better jump in before its gone. - Looks like the upgrade option has been removed form upgrade.php.

This is a little off topic but, just a question
Does ub3r get all the stuff Root has? And even if more implentations are added into Root, do people in the ub3r usergroup sill obtain it?
Because depending on some of the features you plan to release, I would be interested in geting root, but it still denys me to upgrade.
Do I have to PM you to get root approval like how I did with the ub3r process?

Ub3r and r00t are almost identical. One difference is that r00t can make lotteries whereas Ub3r members cannot. Future features that r00t obtain are not guaranteed to also go to the Ub3r group. Ub3rs are NOT able to obtain r00t at all.

Seems like any new permissions that r00t gets should definitely be added to Ub3r. We simply upgraded before them, why does that mean we should potentially lose out on features?

Omni has stated multiple times in multiple threads Ub3r will never be able to upgrade to r00t.
In fact there very well could be a time Ub3r are deleted/Closed all together. Per Omni.

Keep complaining and the next thing you know were going to wake up one day only to see we are just a new member at the bottom.
Everyone should keep up to date in the News and the RANF section.

I don't think I was complaining or think that I'm entitled.
I understand I'll never get r00t, that's fine, I don't care. It's basically Ub3r without the approval. They only extra permission they have is creating a lottery, something I don't really care about. If anything, I like being an Ub3r more anyway. I just think if they're going to start adding more permissions to r00t, I feel like they should be added to Ub3r as well. That's not being entitled, that's just simply wanting something to be equal.
