Yep, check out Wild Card too if you haven't seen that. There's an intense scene at the end over a Blackjack game. And of course, Kevin Spacey's 21 is a classic watch about mathematicians leveraging card-counting. Shall give it a watch now, thanks bud RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Raymond Reddington - Jun 11, 2022 (Jun 11, 2022 02:46 AM)MindkcuF Wrote: 21 is also a great movie but I haven't actually seen Wild Card. RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Raymond Reddington - Jun 11, 2022 Looking forward to hear what my fellow members' opinions are in this case! RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Pound - Jun 12, 2022 Probably spend half on property, well a good bit anyway l I know that’s a safe investment probably give my mom a nice chunk too. Too many things off the top of my head I’d have to sit down and think about it. RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Thebastard2002 - Jun 12, 2022 I would play it safe and boring. 25% in stocks, etf, sp500, 25% in houses, 5% in aquiring business for passive income streams such as sites from empireflippers, 40% on creating some business to improve humanity in some way and 5% to splurge on fun stuff and improving quality of life RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Nullusia - Jun 12, 2022 500m in crypto, retire and just enjoy my life carefree with the rest of the 1b, travelling, helping other people, etc RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - frostygh0st - Jun 12, 2022 I'd keep a couple of million for myself, and then make sure the rest takes care of the next 7-8 generations of my family. RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Net Hustler - Jun 12, 2022 Investments start making that money work for me I would instantly focus on building several projects to keep the money flowing and then live off the profit. RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - іnxy - Jun 12, 2022 I’d buy a nice house and make many donations. RE: What would you do if you won the lottery for $1.5 billion? - Prawnster - Jun 12, 2022 Well, since with that much money you could live off of interest alone in a very shite bank account, I'd probably buy a fuck load of houses throughout the UK and start bringing rent down as cheap as I could to still cover expenses of having building managers and proper maintenance cuz right now, rent everywhere is becoming dumb. It would be nice to be able to make a difference, and 1.2b, even after tax at maybe even 500-700mil, is enough to buy a large ass number of houses. After that, I'd chill in a decent house and go travelling n keep reinvesting the money from renters into a larger chunk of houses and again, keep rent low and house quality at a good level. Can't keep seeing people choosing between having a house to be happy and comfy in or eating, just don't sit right with me tbh. I heard some banks in EU charge you a negative interest for keeping too much funds lying there. It's rather ridiculous. https://www.ecb.europa.eu/ecb/educational/explainers/tell-me-more/html/why-negative-interest-rate.en.html Of course, with a billion you're not going to have it lying around in the bank, there are easier ways to ensure APYs with solid investments, especially real estate. Let's also not forget the possibility of running hundreds of ETH 2.0 validator nodes.
