Certainly doesn't feel that way to me. I could have easily paid someone to do the job though, I'm just cheap. And the 2 weeks to do the job isn't exactly fast but I wasn't trying to do it in 2 days. I was trying to do it correctly. And this was my very first time doing tile so there was a learning process, watching videos on each stage of the process. Going to the stores multiple times to buy the equipment and materials needed. If I had a second shot at this, could maybe do it in under a week. At 54, I also don't have unlimited energy and my body breaks down faster and takes longer to heal. Some of the 5-6 hours of labor days really kicked my ass. I'm a keyboard worker, I don't do physical labor. You can be a dick about it but all my family and friends are highly impressed that I not only took this on, but ultimately pulled it off. More than a few say that it looks done professionally. To achieve that, I took my time. There were no shortcuts, actually, did things the hard way. I don't ever want to do tile again. Next floor in the house I'm doing vinyl. But I did something most dudes are afraid of doing and I'm pleased with myself for it.
