* - ๖ۣۜBoom - May 19, 2014 I personally don't agree with this thing If you can see in Dispute Section most of them are UBERS who scam very big amount of money Its just unfair for Leets * - Infer - May 19, 2014 (May 19, 2014 01:36 PM)SWS. Wrote: This is exactly what happens. If we were grading on the amount scammed, not the amount of scams (even though I believe UB3Rs account for more of these), UB3Rs would account for much more dollar value. * - Dankrupt - May 19, 2014 (May 19, 2014 01:30 PM)Infer Wrote: 7/10? Maybe on the rest of the forums, not in the currency exchange people are much more cautious here, and did you just agree with me? Obviously you aren't around the currency exchange section very often. I am there every day and I witness almost every scam that's happened lately. It's just about always a L33T member who uses stolen information and the owner charges back. I did not agree with you. I said that it will cut down on the chargebacks by not allowing scammers to create their own threads. This forces us to act on our own judgement whether or not we should accept the persons PayPal offer. Rather than a L33T member being able to scam anyone who replies on their thread, they are now mostly limited to trying to scam seasoned UB3R exchangers. * - Skorp - May 19, 2014 Thanks for this immediate update Omniscient. Note taken. * - Flaxpicker - May 19, 2014 Meh I feel like this should be changed to only upgraded members being able to create threads since a lot of the scams are done by normal members trading with each other There are some HQ l33ts on this forum who I trust more than ub3rs Yes this update will cut down on scammers but it is somewhat unfair to upgraded members who wish to trade If a person decides to trade with a guy who recently joined, upgraded to l33t and got most of their rep from giveaways, then its their own fault for being stupid * - Time⠀ - May 19, 2014 This will definitely cut back on scamming. Good implement. * - Nickelodeon - May 19, 2014 I am happy to see this. Thanks Omni! * - Eminem - May 19, 2014 I don't believe this is a good policy. There are plenty of people who scam even ub3rs. I think if you're doing this you might As well limit the threads only to certain trusted exchangers... I was being sarcastic there. But honestly, maybe just upgraded members only? Just my opinion. * - StraightMonster - May 19, 2014 There's not really a point in me mining OMC then I guess. * - Yurt - May 19, 2014 Praise the lord! Thank you so much! <3 <3 <3 * - Omniscient - May 19, 2014 For every Ub3r account I close that was involved in currency exchange scams there are 3-4 associated l33t accounts. All purchased on scammer websites devoted to ripping off members of this community. They buy accounts and l33t are the cheapest. They'll get as many accounts at once as they can then use them all to vouch for each other. And while there is often 1 ub3r account involved there is more often 3 or more regular or l33t accounts involved. I'm the only guy that sees this type of pattern from the backend and I'm the guy that makes the policies here. If you feel the Marketplace is pushing you out and you can't get Ub3r then so be it. That's not my problem if you can't conduct commerce here. My problem is dealing with the systematic victimization of our whole community. Quote:There are some HQ l33ts on this forum who I trust more than ub3rs That's such fucking bullshit I don't even know how to respond. It's like saying in high school there are way more mature students than teachers. Only reason is because there just happens to be fuckload more students. Not that percentage wise they're more mature. There are over twice as many l33t as ub3r. L33t requires no approval to upgrade and members can join and become l33t that day. So for you or anyone to try to say l33t overall are higher quality and more trusted than Ub3r is fucking bullshit...serious fucking bullshit. I should demote you and seee how fast you beg to be ub3r. Most of the ub3r accounts that you find untrustworthy are often sold or stolen accounts. They are sold and stolen only because they offer a better value to scammers. But that's like saying banks are unsafe places to keep your money because they get robbed. Well duh... And you nor anyone has any idea of the amount of sold accounts I closed every day...every single day. I spend hours upon hours checking IPs and reviewing account history. And most of the time they target this section for easy scamming. I'm fed up. I should require every single fucking Marketplace post to be manually approved and every single fucking seller required to post their DOX. How would you like that shit? Stop being irresponsible and I won't have to deal with this crap. Know who you're dealing with. Do your fucking research. /rage * - Dankrupt - May 19, 2014 I think Omni sort of ended our whole argument. I don't think anyone is in a better place to judge this than himself. * - ΑXiS - May 19, 2014 (May 19, 2014 02:26 PM)Omniscient Wrote: I should require every single fucking Marketplace post to be manually approved and every single fucking seller required to post their DOX.
