BTC is getting ready for the next  bull run .

HODLING in a situation like this is no guarantee that it will break the previous peak. In fact the BTC has yet to break it's peak set in 2017. and we're almost 2 years later. Like Omni said, he does not invest too much in BTC but simply earns most of his money in it. There is no guarantee that the money he earned last week will be worth the same or more next week. BTC is extremely volatile and people at the moment are losing confidence because the value has been decreasing for the past month, searches have gone down and generally not a lot of good or wonderful things happening. People are always saying to hold on because one day it will break the 20k barrier. Well, I'm sorry to say it but it really doesn't look like it will at this moment.

In my honest opinion now is not the time to invest in bitcoin and a lot of people feel the same way because of the events that have led up to this moment for long term holding. I sold when it was dropping and as of today I have no regrets about that decision. Still made a profit overall, but the way things look right now, I am simply not interested in buying bitcoins and neither are a lot of my friends in the IT industry.

Either something needs to spark up interest again or prices will drop to the point where 'new' people will be interested at buying at again. That's when the prices will start rising again.

Again, price volatility is so common with these cryptocurrencies that really the only reason to want them is to make money quickly whereas their intended goal (at least for Bitcoin, go read the whitepaper) was to replace fiat currency. They have yet to accomplish that goal and these price changes really aren't helping that goal at this point in time.

However, I do think that one day the value of BTC will be stable enough to achieve its intended goal.

As for Omniscient, it's really doubtful that you selling your BTC's will cause its value to rise again. Usually if you're selling a large amount of BTC (and do mean a significant amount), prices should instead drop even further due to a higher supply. Personally if I was in your shoes and seeing how you earn your money in BTC I would be inclined to suggest a sale because it appears like you are using BTC for its intended goals whereas most of the world is not (unless you're selling/exchanging them at regular intervals).

This is just speculation. There's really nothing you're both saying that is supported by any argument. BTC also does not have anything to back it's value up so both of you could be right. There's no actual point in trying to come to a consensus about the value of BTC in 2 months time (or even two days).

Quote:You can explain a situation without resorting to hate speech

Oh jeezus. What a tool you are.

Quote: There is absolutely no reason why you couldn't take money out each week in fiat for these exact reasons.

Hey you twat, that is what I do. 3 days ago BTC was $10k and now it's down over 20%.

Quote:You're just attacking people now for them not knowing the ins and outs of your personal financial situation.

I do have a tendency to give shit (hate speech according to you Mr Snowflake) to dumb asses who don't think.

If I have even 48 hours in earnings and I go to bed and wake up that those earnings are down 10-15% that hurts. The assumption or maybe just my hope is that if I hold for a day or two more it will bounce back. Now I have 3-4 days I'm holding and it's down more than 20%. And I'm still holding with that same hope we'll see a bounce back soon, before bills are due.

There are aspects of my business directly tied to BTC pricing which I cannot control.

And before you talk more shit that I should just immediately convert to FIAT, I get raped for fees and exchange rate and lose about 8-10% for that privilege. I normally can just hold 2-3 days and bulk exchange sometimes for 1:1 rates but no more than 2% which is manageable. No one wants to give up 8% earnings for fees.

Now, that's my earnings which are used to pay bills. But I do also have savings and investment. I ain't worried about BTC being $6k or whatever for those long-term funds. I'm more upset at the immediately funds I need which I have no choice but to convert.

Quote:As for Omniscient, it's really doubtful that you selling your BTC's will cause its value to rise again.

It doesn't go up because of my measly trade. It goes up because of karma. Bad juju that haunts my life in crap like this. I must have banned one too many members this year.

I'd say 6k is the buy zone.. But im not buying any bitcoin.. imo is better to buy ripple at 0.15 - 0.16 cents than bitcoin at 6k

Imagine buying 500usd worth of ripple at 0.15
Thats around 3.3k XRP

XRP ATH was $3.40 and i think it would reach even higher than that.
But even at $3.40 that is 11.2k$

You couldn't get that much from BTC.

But thats just my opinion

I share your opinion. I'm fairly sure a major alt recovery has to happen before BTC will surpass it's previous ATH.

I think BTC will atleast go down to the .618 fib at around 7500-7000 region but it has a big chance of re-testing the long term 6k support aswell.

RE: $6800 Again? - SIM-1169085 - Sep 26, 2019

It's going to zero dude! Sell right now. hahahaha lol

Where is the buy support?  We had a nice run above $10k then this collapse happened.  What now?  Do we continue seeing it slide?

Where are the buyers?  I haven't even read any serious bad news to justify the drop.

I must admit that I get angry over these drops.  They always seem to coincide with moments I'm holding a fair amount of BTC.  Waking up to see the loses hurts and I take it personally.

When will it end?  God, why me!!! Have you abandoned us crypto-fans?  Please Lord, turn it all around.

I'd prefer buying and also trading BTC as well. It will go up back again, that's for sure! I've been with Ivan Paychecks. It will payoff!

GAWD! I died here. Still laughing my fucking asse rolling on the floor.

RE: $6800 Again? - Maskin - Sep 26, 2019

Isn't what's happening now just what has always happened?
Another thing is that there is no reason for Bitcoin to be worth as much as it is. Which means it doesn't need a reason to either go up or down.

Lol that's funny about the banning members.

I feel you though, I have such terrible luck it almost feels the same way with me.

Soon as I sell because I needed to pay for unexpected medical bills, bitcoin went up to $14k, only for the one day then dropped. But still, I saw that and was so depressed after.

Then as soon as I bought in some more bitcoin, within a months time now it's down to under $8k. I got some bad luck this year

Haha I feel that

Fuck I just want it back up to at least 10k. I don't like seeing my balance go down 😭

Honestly im not stressing at all, have been buying more all the way down, since this minicrash started i have been pretty sure its major price manipulation, however it went past some strong support lines. Maybe crazy manipulation and total panic because of the manipulation, maybe im wrong. But it correlates with the futures too. Tomorrow is gonna be an interesting day. But in all honesty i dont even care too much anymore, i used to do TA everyday and try to make money daytrading, but at this point im just trying to increase my portfolio for the long run. No crash is gonna make me sell my coins. Knowing about your other projects Omni, and knowing you make (most of your) money on the internet, i wonder what your investing strategy is, as in what percentage bitcoin, what percentage other coins, stocks, gold?

RE: $6800 Again? - ArchDemon2212 - Sep 26, 2019

gotta say I feel bad for the guy who bought 1 bitcoin for 13 500 and then now being so low he could have bought 2 by now
