Transfer amounts and balances are private, with controlled visibility for compliance and auditability.

What this means for finance workflows: Imagine every time you send money, the amount is written on the outside of the envelope — visible to anyone passing by. That's how most blockchains work today. Every transaction is fully public. Confidential transfers change that.

The amount inside the envelope is sealed. People can still see who sent it and who received it, but not how much. Importantly, the issuer decides who can open the envelope, so an issuer, exchange, or regulator can still access important info when needed.

With confidential transfers on Sui:
→ Sender and receiver addresses and token type stay visible when a transaction occurs.
→ Transfer amounts and balances become confidential.
→ Authorized parties maintain access through defined policies to enable compliance.
→ Audit trails remain intact.

This removes a structural barrier. Institutions, fintechs, and payment apps that need controlled visibility now have a path forward. They get the benefits of a public chain, without exposing their flows. Public and private transfers both live alongside each other.

Visible where it should be. Confidential where it needs to be. Auditable when required.

That's an important step. I certainly consider it a risk that address balances can be seen online.

Imagine on your bank debit card it exposed your account balance every time you used it? Nobody would want that.

Nice move by Sui. Glad to see improvements towards security. It might attract some additional usage. The zero fee Stablecoin transfers are certainly nice. I really think Sui could overtake Tron for stablecoins.

Even the Tronlink "gas free" wallet raised their fee from $1 to $1.50 but that adds up. Having an actual zero fee is a huge plus.

I just don’t see those lvls from where they were at during fall ‘23 happening.

I’ll gladly buy more if it does hit there tho

I don't think it is going below sixty cents. Crypto looks like it is ready to rebound already IMO..

Rebound to where?

10-12% gain
Realistic upside target is the $71,000 to $73,000 range

A rejection from current levels likely sends us right back to retest the recent local floor in the $61,000 to $63,000 zone

Interesting take.

Market rebound or not, I'd like to know the intentions of Sui going forward.

Currently great ecosystem and I like their swaps and now stablecoin transfers are free too.

But what's next? What's their plan? How to capture more marketshare in the space and gain momentum?

It's not enough to exist and be good tech anymore. You need marketing and consistently pushing. Cardano imho has proved this.

Hopefully BTC can stay bullish and not go any lower then the 61-63K floor or I think the 50K range is likely to happen. My wallets have been red for weeks.

Best times to buy! Stocks, AI and chip related aren’t doing too hot.

Maybe time it rotates back to crypto?

It's over. Face it. Global economy so weak even though it's reaching ATH's. It's doomsday scenario coming any time now.

Hopeful is crazy, lol. Don't let your emotions cloud reality.

True, crypto will do what it wants. Not sweating it too much though. Whether it holds the 60k floor or drops to 50k, I'm just sticking to the DCA plan and buying the dips.

A little bit of relief for SUI in the past week. Up 9.07%. Hoping to continue to see some green candles for this month.

Here are my current holdings.

RE: Sui | Unlock the freedom to build powerful assets - SUI-3183372 - Jul 5, 2026

Yesterday Sui demonstrated a peak of 6.08m TPS on mainnet.
Sui also demonstrated a sustained ~1.3m TPS for a period of roughly 18 hours.

This was a stress test designed to show that even under intense load, Sui stays consistently moving, blocktimes don't increase, they remain sub-second, and that fees stay predictable and low. There were no spikes in fees, there was no increase in failed transactions, there were no slow downs or other inconveniences.

Even cooler, these transactions weren't nothingburger empty transactions. This was a wide variety of game related transactions, swaps and financial transactions, transactions related to messaging, transactions related to data storage, transactions related to payments. This was meant to mimic real world usage under a massive load.

Sui remained fully functional while breaking records.

The envelope analogy undersells the hard part the interesting engineering isn't hiding the amount, it's proving the hidden amount is valid. Encrypted balances with range proofs so you can't mint value out of thin air, while an auditor key can still decrypt when policy requires it.

The open question for me is the auditor key itself. Issuer controlled visibility is a single point of failure: compromise that key and every "confidential" flow on the token is retroactively public. Curious whether the beta supports threshold/multi-party auditor keys or key rotation, and how TRM and Merkle Science plan to do risk scoring when the amounts they'd normally score on are ciphertext.

Never the less it has my attention
