This new News Notables thing about getting a shout out for being the first poster is not going to be fair. I've always seen the same handful of people post first every single week. In fact they post "First" and then edit later so they must be getting tipped off as to when the news is about to be posted.

No one is "tipped off" as to when the News is posted. The only people who could be "tipped off" are those in the Writers. And even then, the HF News has been posted before where I didn't know it was going to be posted at that time.

I honestly didn't like the 'Music' section for it's grammar and language used. It would have been better in my opinion to be formal, for after this is HF News.

Ok then it must be just coincidence. It just annoys me when someone types "First I'll edit once I read it". I feel like saying don't fucking post till you've read it instead of posting shit to be first.

Last ten first posters (starting with edition 178 and going backwards):
There hasn't been a single repeat for first poster in the past ~2 months.
I do agree with you though in regard to it being irritating when someone posts a low quality post just to be "first." As long as they edit it though, it is fine I believe, especially if they give specific feedback/comments.
