Photoshop CS5 issue - Logic™ - May 7, 2011 If anybody could resolve an issue I am having with adobe photoshop cs5 I would be very happy. First off, I would like to bring to your attention that I am a noob when it comes to this software and may not know all of the proper names, so please bear with me. PROBLEM: Whenever I try to change the color of the background to another color it will display on my layers panel that the color changed, but it remains transparent in the canvas. Also it has the same effect when i upload images. It won't show up in the middle of my screen, but it shows it on the small layers to the right of photoshop. Again, if anybody knows how to fix this I would appreciate it. Thanks, RedSkuLL * - lolzor60 - May 7, 2011 Maybe you masked the layer(s)? That would be my best shot. * - Logic™ - May 7, 2011 (May 7, 2011 01:14 AM)lolzor60 Wrote: Maybe you masked the layer(s)? Well, i just installed the software the other day. I opened it up and just tried changing the background and it would remain transparent. So I went and tried using teh canvas with a white or black background to start and it didn't even work it was still transparent.. * - Riggs - May 7, 2011 I think I know what your problem is, but I don't have time to explain in detail what it is (as I have to go now). An alternative solution... Right click the background Layer. Select Blending Options. Then tick the Color Overlay box and choose the color you want the background to be from the Color Overlay color box. I'll be back in about 3 hours to help (if the problem still persists and nobody else has). * - lolzor60 - May 7, 2011 Check if the layers are masked. There should be a little eye next to the layers. Try and click it. * - Frap - May 7, 2011 Your opacity and/or fill is not at 100% * - Logic™ - May 7, 2011 This is what it looks like on my end. And yes I tried messing around with the eye on the layers tab. Still no luck.. any other ideas? I appreciate the feedback * - Logic™ - May 9, 2011 , still can't figure out my issue😟 Nevermind, I am not 100% positive how i fixed this issue. But for anybody else, if your having the same issue, right click on the .exe and click on troubleshoot compatibility and click on recommended settings and then open up photoshop and it should work. |
