[Guide]Need Somewhere To Start?[/Guide] - Basics. - May 13, 2011 Introduction We all need to start somewhere. Considering you are new to hacking, and you want to learn more about it, you've come to one of the right threads. In Order to begin hacking though; you need to find something that you are interested in. There are a lot of threads in HF that will teach you along the way, too. You don't want to start with something you can't cope with. In simpler words, find something you assume you would be good at, and perfect it! Different Types Of Hacking There are many types of hacking you can do. This section will explain some, and what they do. RATTING - Spoiler (Click to View)RATTING (or in simpler words RAT) means Remote Administration Tool. There are illegal RATS and there are legal RATS. An example of a legal RAT is TeamViewer. This is a secure RAT, and is used for demonstrations, tutorials, help, business etc. An example of an Illegal RAT is DarkComet. An Illegal RAT is used for spectating/controlling the victims computer without their permission and knowledge. There are 3 Main RATS that get discussed in HF. Those are: DarkComet, Cybergate and BlackShades. Both DarkComet and Cybergate are free, but BlackShades is something you have to cough up the cash for. Basically what all 3 RATS do is create a "Server". This "server" is infected with viruses. Once binded to a program and crypted (this prevents it from being detected by Anti Viruses), the user will then send it to a victim. Once the victim downloads it and runs it, they are infected. When they are infected, the user can basically do anything on their computer, such as: Spectate, control their mouse, send and receive files, etc. This method of hacking is used mainly for pure joy, or to retrieve a password a whole lot faster. If you would like to learn more, you can take a look at this forum. Keylogging - Spoiler (Click to View)This is the art of retrieving keystrokes a victim makes. Similar to what happens with a RAT, the Keylogger builds a "Server", and is then binded with a program, crypted, and send to the victim. There are too many Keyloggers out there to count. Many are free, many are not free, and many are "noob protected" (which means they are free, but you have to decrypt the code in order to get the password for it. What you have to do once in the Keylogger Program is insert your email (most keyloggers have it fixed to either Gmail or Hotmail). Then, you have to choose whether to disable the Anti-Virus etc. So for every keystroke your victim makes, you'll see it in your email (a email from the keylogger will be sent to yours with the keystrokes) If you would like to learn more, you can take a look at this forum. Website Hacking - Spoiler (Click to View)Hacking a website is one of the most dangerous things to do. If you are not protected with a VPN (Virtual Private Network) then your genuine IP will be exposed to the Admin. With this, he can contact your ISP to shut your Internet access down, or he can simply call the cops to raid your ass. Hacking a website is not what your friends tell you at school. No, opening up the CMD prompt via Notepad is not hacking, and pinging the website with the CMD prompt is not hacking as well. Hacking a website basically means gaining unauthorized access into the database files, etc. This is done via SQL Injection. So in order to hack a website, you're going to want to start learning SQL Injection. What SQL Injection does is find out if the website is vulnerable or not. If the website is vulnerable, the user could be able to gain access to the Admin Logins, Passwords, members, files, and more. Once the user has access to the Admin details and Admin Login Page, he will be able to do whatever he wants with the website, such as upload a deface page, delete files, save files for malicious use, and steal information. It's not a very good thing to do if you are paranoid about the admin finding out. If you have not secured yourself properly, then there is a good chance you'll get bust. Please note this very carefully: You are in no ways "Legit" or "Cool" if you manage to hack into a .gov website (I'm talking about America). If you do, congratulations, have a good night sleep, the FBI team will be waiting for you the next morning. You can learn more about Website Hacking in this forum. Finalizing Those are 3 main methods of successful hacking. With them, you can gain passwords, and more. Please note that it won't take you a day to learn one of these, it will take more than that (unless you are on HF 24/7). All of them require dedication, time, and most importantly patience.
