seems like bullshit but i read up on it..
i guess it charges when your engine doesnt need too much power and when it demands it, it takes the battery power from that little christmas light thing instead of having your alternator create more power lol

Your alternator runs constantly anyways as its connected to the belt.
To put it bluntly, its just a glorified electronic money wasting buttplug.
