BTW when you guyz read this this is my first TUT/Methouds so go easy it's not really organized
So this is for people with a jailbroken idevice running on i dont give a fuck firmware. i want to make your lives easier for you so if you don't like this thread then leave, but if you like comment and post here so let's get started.
Basically on the ipod touch many tweaks/hacks/and mods require sshing. Sshing is bothersome because you need a computer and you have to download shitloads of programs: Winscp openssh then search for a tutorial on how to ssh..
now if you dont want to ssh to move things around in your ipod just use a system you can get on cydia; ifile this wonderful system allows u do browse thru all your directories on your ipod and giving you the option to edit strings and move programs and applications. Recent updates also added an installer feature where you don't have to type a command in terminal to install a package or .deb.
to get ifile and many other paid apps in cydia for free use repo.insanely.com in cydia. This repo is better than sinful cause it has more cracked cydia apps.
This next section is going to be quick.
We all hate the cydia loading. Well if you ever want to just uninstall a program just use Icy from ripdev's repo which is located under sections/repositorys. You can uninstall programs really clean and fast.. Icy is now under beta again so you can't really download packages from there.
Another useful tip... under cydia go to manage and then go to the upper left corner where it says settings then change yourself to a developer. It gives you access to all packages.
So: this next part is for hackers mainly what you can do with wireshark. Download pirni terminal and ifile from cydia. Now you can perform a man in the middle attack on your idevice. -s:this is where the router ip goes -d this is where the ip adress goes -o log.pcap
you have to open up terminal
login as root
default pswrd is alpine
then type in pirni -s xxx.xxx.xxx -d xxx.xxx.xxx and -o log.pcap
then it'll start capturing packets. you can end the capturing by hitting the home button(terminal doens't background) then your log should be located under var/root
