Jailbreaking problems - Taryn - Jul 10, 2011
I've had jailbreaking problems before (jailbreaking my brothers iTouch), but I found a program that helped. But now when I try to jailbreak my iTouch it won't work. I have an iTouch 2g 4.2.1 MC Model. I've tried using redsn0w and greenpois0n but they keep failing and redsn0w doesn't work with MC models.
Any suggestions?

Okay, thanks for the reply AnthonyWasH3r3, but when redsn0w asks if it's a MC model I press yes and it says it's not working with MC :P

Oh really? It used to work with it, but just warned you that it would be tethered. Maybe a later version of RedSn0w will work.

I've tried the latest version and everyone says it should work but it doesn't. :P Does greenpois0n usually fail?

By later, I meant older. And sometimes greenpois0n does fail, but keep trying or try on a different computer. You might just be doing DFU mode wrong.

Does spirit work on my type of iTouch? And I downloaded an earlier version of redsn0w and it says ' Unable to recognize specified IPSW '

spirit is for 3.1.3
And look for one that still works for your ipod.

OP, What do you mean by failing? Does it give an error, does the iPod not respond to greenpois0n, are you having troubles with the DFU mode part? Please explain further.

are you sure it's dfu and not recovery that you are getting into?

I think i'm getting into recovery.. I'm doing exactly what it says but it doesn't work. How do I get into DFU?
