[PRE-ALPHA] Omega Browser v0.1 [Advanced VB.NET Browser] - Ingenuity - Aug 8, 2011
Hey Guys,
I'm not fond of releasing programs when I'm not completely happy with them, but since I posted a preview of Omega a few days ago, and I'm off on holiday for two weeks (without access to HF), I'm going to release a very early Pre-Alpha version.
For users who do not know what Omega is, here's a quick video:

Features implemented:
-All basic browser functions
-Custom search providers
-Add search providers from webpage
-Awesomebar
-Bookmark bar
-Save webpage as html or as html + supporting files
-Text & Page zoom
-History cleaner (Firefox/Chrome/Opera) - I know that it's rather ironic that I haven't implemented one for Omega itself though.
-Printing
-Advert blocking (using Privoxy)
-Nice Aero UI
To Implement:
-Get it working with computers which dont have Aero
-History & search suggestions
-Folders for bookmarks
-Clear recent history
-Browser options (proxy, plugins enabled, User agent, popup blocker, default browser)
-Password remembering & Auto-form filling
-Speed dial
-Addons
-Handle new tabs, open link in new tab, etc
-Integrate with social networks
-Skinning & Personas (like firefox)
-Find
-Developer tools (like chrome's)
-Enable custom JavaScript alert dialog
-Search provider manager
-Security options
-Anything else you guys can suggest to me if at all feasable
REQUIRES WINDOWS AERO TO BE ENABLED (THIS WILL NOT ALWAYS BE THE CASE). The source will be released at a later date. Please don't PM for it.

Yeah, that would definitely be possible. Sounds like a good idea for an addon.

When I released my browser, nobody cared to look, and yet I see a bugfix in mine 😁
- when webbrowser navigated - get the url's HOST - and if it's different - CHANGE the favicon

It does not look bad. It actually look like u took a bit of the Chrome GUI + a bit of the Firefox GUI and + a bit of Opera GUI and made the Omega GUI xDD. No but seriously now , it looks cool! 🤝

I want to download any SWF File on a page I want
I want to have teh webbrowser auto refresh so it auto refreshes page
I want to have Switchable engines, from Gecko to Trident. (Kind of like that one browser that lets you switch engines from all 3 or something.... im high and i forget the name of it)
Thats all I want, maybe other people want it too. 😝
