Nice snippet you got here buddy.
I saw this method before but not with this arguments, in this example you're using the ping command to do the job
"-n 1" means that it will ping just once.
"-w 3000" means that it will wait 3sec before performing the ping.
"> Nul" this will hide the output of the ping command
also for Application.ExecutablePath.ToString(), i prefer using reflection to get the path of your program in case you're not using forms
