I want to buy a .com domain for a period of 3 years.
It will be used for my School's alumni association. So, I don't want to get into trouble buying it using carding or other illegal methods.
Can you suggest me a trusted and cheap registrar?

Combined with coupon usage (you can find codes everywhere), GoDaddy will be the cheapest registrar where you can register your domain for a period of 3 years. 🙂
Off Topic, if it's for a school, shouldn't it be a .org domain?
