Paranoid? Yes. However, Disturbing nonetheless. - Jahkio - Dec 30, 2011

Like most hackers id say im fairly paranoid, as such i wa wondering if the community, especially admins, were aware of this?

Are we being spied on? Is this true? All discussion is welcomed, please be polite, citations to claims would be nice.

We are being spied on daily. Everyone knows this. There are probably FBI's that registered onto this forum without notice.

* - The Dark Side of the Moon - Dec 30, 2011

You'd be crazy to think that no law enforcement is on a forum that is as big as this and talks about some of the stuff we do.

There are so many members that influences the FBI's to target this site. Although, we should be safe as this forum disallows all BlackHat Activity.

* - Diabolic - Dec 30, 2011

There are hundreds of members who are inside police/FBI. Hence why a few members from Hack Forums have been swatted.

* - Stay Plural - Dec 30, 2011

We are being spied on, I think most of us now this.

It's funny to see, rankmyhack.com. Doesn't a fellow HF member own it?

* - Pocky - Dec 30, 2011

Lmao yeah, because the majority of kids here can actually do something. Right.

I am a federal agent. I need to ask you all some questions. I will be calling your homes later this evening.

I read that like 2 days ago.
The internet can be such a "small" place sometimes.

I don't honestly see how BlackHat activity is disallowed. I was just in the "botnet" section and haven't seen more illegal activity in one forum myself. Not to mention the marketplace and all the illegal products being sold there for malicious intentions.

Of course the biggest hacking forum on the internet would have FBI people.

I thought that as well, but am i the only one finds it alarming that multiple people are hyperanalyzing our forums? I know we cant stop people from acessing the site without stopping its ability to be public* with the conditon of a username. But Is there any feasible way to stop the mass analaysis of the forum. In reference to another poster, i realize this site is mostly compromised of begginers but should we at least try** to fight governments from spying on us; or is the only option to make all begginer hacking information completely public?

Note: i realize its essential to stay public, but i feel like obligated to fight people using HF as a specimen to be experimented on and analyzed -_-'

"As a public bulletin board, Hack Forums is by its nature awash mostly in those new to hacking, those eager to share and show off their skills, and a fair number of security researchers and journalists. And if you believe a report from the Guardian from June, at least a quarter of the audience is FBI informants."

Scary shit.

I agree, in my short time here ive found half dozen ways to steal passwords etc that can easily use for malic. Purposes.

Its not really explocitly blackhattery (lol funny word) but its like putting a codom dispenser in a highschool. YEAH its illegal to have underage sex, and theyre not directly telling them to break te law, theyre just making it laughably easy to do so.

I agree, but i doubt that 1/4 are informants. But id be willing to bet at least 10% of registered users. However an arguement can be made that most actively contributing users are doubtfully FBI etc etc

Yeah, I'm sure they are spying on all the 12 year old RAT users here.
