Slowloris Flood Disables Connection - Swish - Jan 2, 2012
Hey.
I used a PHP Slowloris shell to take down serveral websites and it worked fine.
The problem is that during the attack it´s not possible to access the hosting where the slowloris script is hosted on due the slowloris flood for some reason.
Any ideas why this happens?

Whenever you flood something, you get flooded back. You send & recieve packets, having a bad bandwith connecting will even cause your internet to die. Thats why when you DDOS a website, you use other victims computers (called zombies). So thats why this happening. A signle computer with a single network cant do much of a work if the victims network is stabile.

Slowloris does not neaseraly take a website offline. It just uses all the possible request a server can handle thus no body can connet to it.
Well I guess it does take it offline if you look at it from the users pov
