Monetizing Techniques - Novelty - Feb 12, 2012

It's full of spam, if I would visit there it would be because I want to discuss or learn new techniques, not post to receive a link to a referral website, lol.

Look at the first page and tell me how many are just spam promoting their referral links through PM.

Should we report threads who are like "post here and i'll pm you ebook/link" since obviously they do not fit there.

If it's against the rules then yes, you should.

It needs a new Moderator. That's the reason I don't post there anymore.. Marketplace Discussions and Monetizing Techniques need a new Moderator.

Report threads that you feel are LQ as "Low Quality Posting."

Mentors already moderate Marketplace Techniques and Free Services and Giveaways. I often move the ones with e-books and referral links in their respective sections, but you can't know if someone is giving referral links via PM until someone reports it to you or you ask for it yourself. I doubt a moderator would help much, there already was one a while back.

Anyways, to answer your question OP, the practice of 'post here and PM me' is allowed, at least as of now. However, please forward any PMs containing a referral or survey link to Judge Dredd or any one of the staff members along with a link to the thread and it will be dealt with.
