How to know if I'm gettinng DoSed? - bfreakz - Feb 21, 2012 Bassicly, during the day my internet would "fuck-up" making it impossible to browse, gam eor anything (bings go to 8k-10k) I'm just interested in knowing if its possible to find out if I am being DoSed so I could simply call my ISP and tell them to change my IP. * - Low - Feb 21, 2012 Um, 1. Check your router logs. 2. You can change your IP by changing your Mac address on your router. If you need help, google it. If you still need help, shoot me a PM and I will try to help you out. * - bfreakz - Feb 21, 2012 There are no logs in my router for any type of flooding, and I can't change my IP by changing my MAC because my ISP binds the IPs to the MAC address * - Low - Feb 21, 2012 Then, I doubt it is a dos. You could call your ISP to get it changed and see if you see any improvements. If it still happens, call out your ISP to your house to check it out, * - bfreakz - Feb 21, 2012 I mean, my router doesn't log them. It can still be a dos/ddos * - mDopeyk - Feb 21, 2012 Would someone have a reason to DoS you? If not then I doubt its that, maybe its just your internet, I would say try calling your ISP. * - Johnny Ramone - Feb 21, 2012 You could be ratted and you might be part of their botnet. * - umami smokes shisha - Feb 21, 2012 I would try unplugging your router over night to reset everything or Change ISP's if you don't like your providers services * - bfreakz - Feb 21, 2012 Yes people would have a reason to DoS/DDoS me because I DDoS myself. I am definetly sure that I'm not ratted. And I'm pretty satisfied with my ISP's and I'm sure that unplugging my router won't reset anything. * - Low - Feb 21, 2012 Make sure all if your connections to your router and modem are clean and secure. If it continues, call your ISP. * - Johnny Ramone - Feb 21, 2012 Oh, try this. Go to cmd, type ipconfig /release. Then type ipconfig /renew. That might help. * - Entitled - Feb 21, 2012 You should see hackforums say " Your router is messed up". * - Eric21 - Mar 27, 2012 First of all check whether all the connections to your router and modem are correct, and also make sure its clean. If no use of this things then you could call your Internet Service Provider and report about it. |
