[NEW] HTML5 Doctype - [H]ell - Feb 23, 2012 HTML 5 finally got the smart idea, to create a new simplified doctype. Over the years doctypes became more and more retarded, and I was to lazy to ever remember them. So I had to copy them from another website each time I made a new website. Anyway the new HTML5 Doctype is: Code <!DOCTYPE html>Previous docryptes XHTML 1 Strict Code <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">HTML 4 Strict Code <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">* - pushl %ebp - Feb 23, 2012 Two things. 1. Don't use HTML5, it's crap and contains a lot of rubbish that wont be support/isn't considered safe to use. E.g. Outdated browsers are still lurking. 2. The long Doctypes actually mean something. HTML5's Doctype is short because a new standard has been bought it. Every time the words 'Standard' and 'w3c' are involved, blame IE for being a headache involving what ever issues you may have. * - Uncomplicated - Feb 23, 2012 I already know this. Quote:So I had to copy them from another website each time I made a new website. Haha! Sometimes I did that too. * - YERANUK - Feb 23, 2012 Wait what, wasn't that possible since like a long time now? |
