Now darker than black is just one of “those anime’s”, what do I mean by this… well anime’s such as trigun, hellsing, death note and code geass. These are all animes that must be watched. Darker than black follows the story of "Hell's Gate" an impenetrable field that appeared ten years ago in Tokyo. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. These physics are called contactors; the reason for this is pretty dam cool so I won’t spoil that for you. Now Hei being the main character and all is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents or contractors, and along with his blind associate, Yin, who is a doll and No not one of those dolls. But a physic doll that has the ability to control a specter, work for one of the many rival agencies trying to unlock the mysteries of Hell's Gate.
Now what makes darker than black, dark than black is that every single fucking character in the anime has a long ass back story that most of the time no one gives a crap about. But hey at least the put some effort into the anime and giving the entire backstory in 2-3mins rather than other anime’s that do it in 2-3 arcs not mentioning any specific anime “cough” naruto bleach “cough”. Darker than black is one of the few animes that are not afraid to put some dismal and pessimistic views on their characters, whether this means they have been abused, brought up in a war zone and just down right had shitty lives. Darker than black will throw it all at you which really makes the character development that much more impressive. I give the character development a 7/10
Darker than black is a very serious anime even it does contain the occasional naked brit! And a few comical moments it is still set to be very serious and sad. It keeps you really interested throughout the entire anime and not mentally undressing every anime girl. The fighting in the anime is a bit gruesome hence why it is a 17+ anime , but the fighting scenes are pretty dam cool I must admit. With exploding blood and ninja like moves it kinda is something new with something old making it over all a fabulous combination. I give the anime style a 9/10.

what spoilers?? there were no spoiler really told you nothing about the main story nothing about what characters if any die.. hell majority of the characters are not even mentioned

Actually a pretty decent review. I finished watching Darker than Black last night; just waiting on Kuro no Keiyakusha Gaiden and Ryuusei no Gemini downloading.
I fair enjoyed it. As you said, it is one of those series's that you must watch.

Darker Than Black was decent. I wouldn't say it's one of the 'must-watch'es though.
Then again, I consider very few anime to be 'must-watch'es.
It's a good anime, but it's overhyped, which has turned me off to a certain extent.

Like, everyone always says how amazing it is; it just gets too much publicity in AA. I doubt I'll like it anyway. I'm not going to lie - it sounds boring. 🤣
