Are there any search engines that let you search by raw html? - cheatson - Mar 4, 2012

Google DID have a project on the go (now discontinued), and I saw a few other crappy ones, so wondered if anyone had come accross anything decent already?

For clarification, im talking about a web crawler that allows the cache of the source to be searchable, not just the content.

I haven't really seen any good ones :/ This would totally revolutionise how I hack. Life would be so easy, but alas. I have also been looking for something along these lines, but instead I usually find a juicy looking target and then just use something like webshag to peruse available source. Actually, HTTrack works fairly well :)

I would have expected a well known one by now, I mean surely there are widereaching uses for it...

Well I feel that people with legitimate purposes could use something like firebug or inspect element with control+f on their own sites. Or if someone has a web developement issue, they can google the issue by keyword. Or maybe my mind is just so used to thinking in terms of security that I can think of no legitimate uses :/

If this really existed google would need a bigger budget for their security team to giveaway.

Definitely. Also, I found xss on the site where you can DL httrack...

Im pretty sure I have something big XSS wise, but really need to be able to find the offending js in other sites which is not indicated in site content. I WISH there was a way- ill keep ing this from time to time in case someone comes across it who is like "yeah man, I know exactly what you mean, there is this site, its awesome, and here is the direct link to said awesome site, enjoy!". @__@

btw, nice find mate.

Heheh. I just get curious sometimes. I usually try at least a few times to get xss on the sites I visit. Nice mental exercise.
