step 2 : open the "hosts" with notepad.
step 3 : then write example :

In order to do this correctly, you need to be the PC administrator or have the permissions of an administrator in order to edit the hosts file.
Why?
Because it is a system file and you can disable your internet if you do something completely wrong.
Make sure you are an administrator if you do this.

Just save the .txt file on your desktop. Remove the hosts file, and drag the copy in the directory...

well only the main page gets blocked you can access other pages of the site via bookmarks :/

very old trick and works perfect. M using this from many months. I myself blocked about 7 games sites. Basically what we need to do is
Quote:1- First open notepad with administrator rights. (you can do that by right clicking on notepad and click run as administrator)
2- Now type 127.0.0.1 www.google.com (atleast 1 space is required between the ip and website )
3- now save it and reboot
4- try to open google.com, you will see its blocked
5- now instead of google type any site you want to block. Done now enjoy

you just need to find other pages it uses and then block them also. you need to block subdomains also. i know its tough job. So i tell you a software download HT employee monitor it helps you to block the whole site. The only problem is that its a 30 days trial version

This is how you can do it from cmd
1 run cmd as admin
2 go to cd windows/system32/drivers/etc
3 etc> copy con hosts
now type 127.0.0.1 www.site.com
then it will ask for overwrite
type yes
then press ctrl+c and enter
4 exit
