how do you host a RSPS on a linux vps? - DashPHP - Apr 10, 2012

Hey there,

I have a Linux VPS CenotOS 32b OS and I would like to know how to host my RSPS (Runescape Private Server) on the Linux? I know it's possible I just can't find the tut, so if anyone can help me I'd really appreciate that!

ps- If you don't know what rsps then dw, you can leave this thread :)

Ok, the first thing you need to do is download Java. And just compile the .Java files. And excute them. Just ignore the .Bat files.

Hey, I forgot to mention that I'm completely new to Linux and to me it's just like a CMD, how would I download Java? and how would I upload the source files ECT?

thanks again!

Download it from java.com.. And to compile it (if its not an executable) by extracting it and going to the directory through the terminal
then type
Code
sudo ./configure
sudo make
sudo make install
Though it should be in the repositories and you can usually get it by doing yum install java or something like that but I am not aware of Centos repos..

I simply typed "yum install java" and it worked but how do i upload my source?

you could just use wget..
ex: wget www.website.com/files/rsps/stuff
