[2ND Build] Zimtons | TERA Build [2nd build] - Zimton - Apr 12, 2012 My last build was an AMD, thought it would be enough for several years... WRONG!! I will no longer use AMD. But here's my currently build right now i made yesterday. Will be upgrading the Gfx card so yh :). Current build: Intel Core i5 2500k @ 3.7ghz Ram; 4gb of corsair @ 1333mhz each GFX Card: GTX 460 SE 768MB Heatsink: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus Seagate 500GB 7200 rpm <-- have 2 of these My idle temp is like 27-34. Since i have a pretty decent heatsink/fan i want to know if i should OC to 4.5ghz. Is it noticeable if i game? I'm currently looking to get a GTX 560 Ti. What do you guys think right now. * - SecretAgenda - Apr 12, 2012 The overclock will be barely noticeable in gaming. We have pretty similar builds though and I'm having trouble getting passed 4.4GHz, though I probably just need to spend a little more time with it. With that heatsink, the temps won't be the limiting factor in your OC most likely like it isnt with me. * - Programmargorp - Apr 12, 2012 The "sweet spot" of 2500k's is about 4.3-4.5GHz, some chips have a hard time hitting 4.5 though. Do not get the 560Ti, the Kepler ones are just around the corner. Btw Alpha Predator (a guy on these forums) knows alot about Sandybridge OCing, you should ask him. |
