[NOOB FRIENDLY] Protect your personal files with TrueCrypt [HQ Tutorial] - ๖ۣۜWhiskeyPete - Apr 28, 2012 A tutorial by WhiskyPete What is TrueCrypt? TrueCrypt is free open-source disk encryption software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X and Linux. Part 1: Creating a Volume TrueCrypt is pretty easy to use once you know how, but it's a little complex when you first learn how to do it (which is why i'm here to teach you 😉). 1) Download TrueCrypt from their official website http://www.truecrypt.org/downloads. 2) Once the download has finished, install it. When it is finished, it should look something like this: Spoiler (Click to View) 3) Open up TC (TrueCrypt) and click on "Create Volume". Spoiler (Click to View) 4) Make sure you select "Create and encrypted file container", then click next. Spoiler (Click to View) 5) You will be asked if you want a hidden or standard TC volume. Select standard, then click next. Spoiler (Click to View) 6) Select the location for your file and make sure that "Never save history" is checked (We don't want anybody to find your "personal files") 😝. Spoiler (Click to View) 7) Now you get to select your encryption method. In this case, I chose Serpent-TwoFish-AES because it is a very secure algorithm. You may leave the "Hash algorithm" alone. Click next. Spoiler (Click to View) 8) Here, we select our volume size. Make sure that it is big enough to contain your personal files (porn). Click next. Spoiler (Click to View) 9) It's time to choose your password! As an example, I will be using "whiskypete" as mine. But for your password, I strongly recommend Lower and Upper case letters, numbers, a special character such as ! or @, and make it longer than 8 characters. Example of what your password should looks like: Sup3Rpassw0rd$. Click next. Spoiler (Click to View) 10) Here, don't change any of the options! What you should do, however, is move around your mouse. It will make the "Random Pool" even more random, therefor making the algorithm more complex and secure. Click format. Spoiler (Click to View) 11) Give yourself a pat on the back! You've just created a TC volume! Click exit. Spoiler (Click to View) You're file should look something like this: Spoiler (Click to View) Part 2: Accessing your volume 1) When you want to access your volume, simply open TC and click on "Select file", then click "Mount". Spoiler (Click to View) 2) You will be prompted to enter a password. Enter the password you set earlier and click OK. Spoiler (Click to View) 3) Open up My Computer. You should have you new drive there! Spoiler (Click to View) 4) Rename the drive to "Porn Drive" Spoiler (Click to View) 5) Store all your porn "special files" on your new drive. Spoiler (Click to View) Part 3: Dismounting the Dirve 1) To remove the drive from your computer, simply click "Dismount". All the files that you put on the drive will be saved back to the dismounted file container. Spoiler (Click to View) That's about it! Sorry about the long tutorial, I tried to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible.
