Ten very usefull but not popular Windows Shortcuts - navaneeth.kishore - May 13, 2012

Hello Hack Forums,

I would like to share ten very useful but not popular Windows Shortcuts:

SHIFT+DELETE (Delete the selected item permanently without placing the item in the Recycle Bin)

F2 key (Rename the selected item)

ALT+ENTER (View the properties for the selected item)

CTRL+F4 (Close the active document in programs that enable you to have multiple documents open Simultaneously)

ALT+ESC (Cycle through items in the order that they had been opened)

CTRL+TAB (Move forward through the tabs in Most Common Browsers)

TAB (Move forward through the options)
SHIFT+TAB (Move backward through the options)

Windows Logo+E (Open My Computer)

Windows Logo+R (Open the Run dialog box)

Windows Logo+M (Minimize all of the windows)

πŸ‘ Please post a reply if you liked my little thread... πŸ‘

Windows Logo + D shows the desktop. Very useful if you have a lot of windows open.

ALT+ENTER is also commonly used in games to go full screen.

Don't use SHIFT + DELETE for sensitive files and data, wipe the item with Heidi Eraser (at least 7 passes) instead.

Nice compilation of shortcuts. Keep it up man. :)

Yeah, the deleted file will skip Recycle Bin, that's all. I thought it might come in handy... πŸ™‚
