Thread Creation Permissions Restricted - Omniscient - May 19, 2012

In an effort to prevent spam by ban evaders trying to monetize HF I've altered the permissions in certain forums.

Regular registered members can no longer create threads in the following sections:

Monetizing Techniques
Referrals
Free Money Making Ebooks
Hacking Tools and Programs
Remote Administration Tools
Keyloggers
Free Services and Giveaways

I may add more to the list as well.

Member can still post replies but thread creation is now restricted to l33t/ub3r/staff/mentors only.

If I ban you from HF be sure that I'm going to go all out to cleanse your presence from HF no matter what I have to do.

BTW the "no post to pm" and "no pm for download" are coming soon. Those rules are going to seal the deal imho to prevent LQP and spam.

These measures also assist in prevention members being infected by malware, rats, and viruses.

Enjoy.

Great, great, fantastic rule Omniscient.
Thank god.

* - Positive - May 19, 2012

Thank you Omniscient.
This will help out a lot.

* - Bentley - May 19, 2012

This is going to help a lot! Thanks for doing it.

I absolutely love this new rule. Maybe now those evaders will learn to piss off.

Thank you so much. This will help a ton.

hmm I really don't agree with this. I just saw a good post from a regular member here https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=2456326
I really think it should be based on post count or or time registered. After all the monetizing section is for open discussion (I still see to many post/pm threads)
I definitly agree with the free giveaway section because to many regular members spam surveys or just use that to get rep, but I don't agree with the monetizing section.
but it is your forum anyway

I'm a normal user and i find this helpful already.

* - CAPiiX - May 19, 2012

Really looking forward to see the "Post & PM me" threads go away.

* - Tangy - May 19, 2012

Eh, thats quite a lot of forums to exclude regular members from posting threads in. Oh well, I guess its for the best

You should also add 'Free Ebook Hacking Tutorials' to the list.

I've seen new members create threads with referral links, and we will have to move it to the correct section.

So it would be easy for them to gain access to the "Referrals section".

Thank you, thank you very much for that rule. It is damn abused by all normal members! One of the best rules implemented, I can say.

This will be a great rule, Thanks for the notice.

* - JavaSun - May 19, 2012

I disagree, some sections should still be allowed, like RAT and tools.

* - Draw - May 19, 2012

Good to hear the post and pm and post for download ones are going.
That's a lot of sections blocked for regular members.
