[C#][SOURCE]Process Blocker - DeadLine - Jul 2, 2012

Hello,

I've been working on a small project the last hour called Process Blocker.
It is an application that blocks processes from running.

You guys are extremely fast, thanks for your feedback !

Does it actually "block" processes from running or does it just shut them down when it finds them? As far as I'm concerned, if it doesn't literally block it from executing then it is just a glorified process ender.

Ending on a nice note, it looks pretty good.

It kills them when it finds them, I tought about editing bytes of the blocked application but I'm not entirely sure if that's a safe way to do it.

You could use file locks to prevent them from being started.
Code
FileStream fs = File.Open(file, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read, FileShare.None);
...
fs.Close();

Although if a user tries to open the file they will be prompted with a message.

If it's for security, then it won't work at all like you think. Ex. if it's a virus you block it'll still execute before getting killed.
