Hello AA, it's time for our weekly poll. For this one, do you listen to anime music because of anime?

Lots of you have been VERY dedicated anime fans. With almost half of you having been into it for 4+ years now.
This week's poll: Do you listen to anime music because of anime?
Have you gotten into more asian music and anime soundtracks thanks to anime? Or maybe you've always been into it? Or maybe even you think asian music sucks or plain don't like it?

Initially I used to hate all types of music about a year ago and didn't listen to music for months. I was just plain sick of all the mainstream shit and genres until I had discovered Hardstyle which was okay for the time being got me back into music. And about 2 months after I discovered Hardstyle my bro showed me Ranma 1/2 which from there I discovered AA and left off from there to where I am now(MAL). Initially my first watch besides Ranma 1/2 was Angel Beats! and from there I really liked GDM. Of which I started listening to OST's and then eventually found Guilty Crown and got hooked on all the ost's. Then came across J-Music suggestions by Twisted. and from there I left off to liking J-Rock and Anime music. So what it really comes down to is that AA brought me into Anime and I have stayed ever since :)

I like it but i don't choose to listen it, same with anime, i watch it because i love it, and that's all,
i don't really look up the tracks and listen to them or anything like that, so No.

Yep, if I never watched anime I would have never pursued jmusic or any other asian music most likely, or never would've had any interest in learning japanese. Anime = life changing experience, figure that shit out >.>

Definitely, anime was what got me into asian music, if i found an OST i loved i searched the band and that lead to a general enjoyment of asian music. Thou i like traditional asian music too, which is not due to anime.

I didn't listen to ANY asian music (or just foreign music for that matter) before watching anime.
After enjoying some anime like angel beats, I started adding songs from anime to my collection (mainly OPs, but sometimes entire OSTs) and now I'd say that 50% of the music I listen to is anime music.
