Adware in google chrome - Dyme - Jul 20, 2012 So lately I've noticed this "Extension" that pops up when I try to view a YouTube video. It automatically starts viewing an ad, and then disappears. Under my extensions page, it goes under the name as "Default Extension". When I try to disable and delete it, it never actually goes away. Can anyone help? Good luck resolving it though :) * - Hemlock - Jul 20, 2012 Strange , try installing adblock plus which is very good if you've never used it and see what happens. Short of that uninstalling and re-installing chrome should work.
