[TUT] Make advance FAKE Key Gen Generator [TUT] - Learn4Life - Feb 17, 2010

Hello HackForum, i saw a nice tutorial for how making Fake Key Gen Generator There, but i got the idea to generate randomly keys, i guess it will be "nicer". So i tried to make a source code for that. In this tutorial i'l explain briefly how to make an advanced FAKE Key Gen Generator.

So basically is just a text box and 1 button. For all specific details for making GUI you can refer There, so lets start.

Lets start, now you should have something like that:
Quote:Public Class Form1

Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click

End Sub
End Class

The first think that we include should be, something that if the button is clicked more than once it will not show more than 1 string of key. So there how we do that:
Quote:If TextBox1.Text <> Nothing Then
TextBox1.Text = Nothing
End If

Now, we need to declare our variable:
Quote:Dim Generator As New Random 'to generate a random number
Dim x As Integer 'where our random number will be stored
Dim i As Integer = 0 'to count for our loop
Dim Key As String 'this will be put in the text box

There we start to make our loop to generate our keys, so is something like that:
Quote:While i <> 16

End while

Now we need to make generate a random number :
Quote:x = Generator.Next(1, 20)

After, put some line of code to make the keys be separated with " - "
Quote:If i = 4 Then TextBox1.Text = TextBox1.Text & " - "
If i = 8 Then TextBox1.Text = TextBox1.Text & " - "
If i = 12 Then TextBox1.Text = TextBox1.Text & " - "

Now the hard part 😝, turn our generated number in numbers and letter 🤮
Quote:Dim A As String = "A"
Dim B As String = "B"
Dim C As String = "C"
Dim D As String = "D"
Dim EE As String = "E"
Dim F As String = "F"
Dim G As String = "G"
Dim H As String = "H"
Dim II As String = "I"
Dim J As String = "J"

If x = 11 Then Key = "A"
If x = 12 Then Key = "B"
If x = 13 Then Key = "C"
If x = 14 Then Key = "D"
If x = 15 Then Key = "E"
If x = 16 Then Key = "F"
If x = 17 Then Key = "G"
If x = 18 Then Key = "H"
If x = 19 Then Key = "I"
If x = 20 Then Key = "J"
If x < 10 Then Key = x

The last part, of curse display our key, and increse our "i" value so we generate only 16 character/number
Quote:TextBox1.Text = TextBox1.Text & Key
i = i + 1

Ok, so now is done ! Compile it and enjoy 👍.

Credits go to me, i made that code and tutorial.
Oh and also, is my first tutorial there, so tell me what you think 😊.

Thanks for the share. Good for n00bs.

I created my own method, but this one is more random compared to mine. Thanks.

I already made something simular: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=252343

For a first tutorial it's nice but it could be a lot simpeler. The way you used an array is quite strange. Also, I would say where extactly place all lines of code and specifically between each line, when a new part needs to be added.🙂

I'm confused. >_< Nice tut though.
