Help needed steam account stolen, virus removed - Pandox - Aug 23, 2012
I'm not sure where to post this but here it goes. So today I downloaded a image of a friend which apparently I guess had a virus on it. Anyways long story short I removed the virus and I have control of my computer but my steam account has been stolen and my main email to this account is also stolen as well as the email to my steam account which has all the cd keys. I have submitted a support ticket to steam which my last three credit card digits and a cd key of a humble bundle I bough and some transaction id and I was wondering is there anything else I can do?

Problem is he hit two birds with one throw, my friends steam account is also hijacked. So i guess he didn't know it was infected.

Thats what he says, his profile went to private as did mine. He claims he has no access to it. I had another account which was friends with him on steam and I got a url then I got deleted of his friends list.

If you still have the file, we can track the IP and you can contact his ISP for information then contact the police since he stole a belonging to you.

I deleted the file but I can ask my friend if he still has his, well the file he sent me.

I'm not sure if it had that exe extension on it, I just opened the file and then it all began.

If you are interested on the file, download Recuva and get it back.
You should get your account back easily because you have solid proof. 🤝

I hope so, problem is he has my main email account which is registered to various other forums and games and applications. Which I can't get back because ha changed everything.
I got my email account back after calling them up.
Just out of curiosity is there a way to check what ip(s) have recently logged onto your email account?
