SuperAntiSpyware - Doniu - Sep 6, 2012 Hello, can anyone tell me if I should untick the boxes which say, 'Dont scan a file above 4MB (recommended)' and 'Only scan known extensions (.exe, .dll etc). I think I should untick them if I want a better scan because not all viruses are .exe, .dll etc am I right? And also some viruses are more than 4MB. Btw if anyone wants to know where these options were they were in Preferences and then Scanning Preferences or something like that. * - phybeя - Sep 6, 2012 I would keep it on whatever it was on by default. * - Retribute - Sep 6, 2012 I would personally recommend to keep it as default, but I don't see why you can't change it up to suit your preference. Go ahead. Your preferences anyway. * - Tiszy - Sep 6, 2012 Tick ON - 'Dont scan a file above 4MB (recommended)' [Why it is off default is it takes a lot of time to scan, and uses much of your CPU and RAM to do it] Tick OFF - 'Only scan known extensions (.exe, .dll etc). [It'll scan .jpg, .bat, and other not so known ext. too, which is good] * - SuaveSalmon - Sep 6, 2012 When I crypt stuff sometimes stubs can be 5mb+ I suggest scanning everything my brotha. What do you have to lose? Nothing :D |
