Upgrading from Turtle Beach x12s to ASTRO A40s! - Dood - Sep 8, 2012
I just felt like sharing, I bought a pair of A40s, a bit expensive, but oh well :P
No pics yet, they're still being shipped.

Bit expensive but worth it. Astro has the best customer support and high quality audio systems. I've had mine for years and never had anything better.

A40 or the A50? I just upgraded from A40s to A50s, but they came broken (lots of people having issues with the A50s) so still waiting on replacement. A40s are awesome but my mixamp's optical input broke.

A40s are better currently, since the A50s are having a mic problem..plus, this is $100 cheaper :D
and to the other guy, Dre Beats are just for brand. $150 more than necessary..

Could you use the Astros on the PC or no? Also, what is the big difference between the turtle beach and astro? I have the turtle beach x11's

You can.
The difference is that ASTROs have higher sound quality..and are $150 more expensive..

You could always buy my A40s without mixamp (that has an issue which is why I went to the A50s) if you want - I have all the cables/boxes/case, and they work perfectly.
I saw cheap Mixamps on ebay so considered that but no Paypal for years now.

Not much of an upgrade in my opinion.
An upgrade would be some high class headphones like the Audiotechnica M50 or V-Moda Crossfade LP2.
But congrats though.
